I got the same error, and for a couple of other apps not just downloads. For example google earth, the app also force closed every time it launched and the way i got it to work was to install an update to the app. Its the only way i know that fixes the issue.

Anyone experiencing any issues with losing GPS signal? The only work around I have identified is bouncing the GPS service to reestablish connection to the satellites.

Nope. Not sure if the dev is still working on this ROM anymore

Joe-tech left after galaxymaster. this ROM uses an old version of Joe's work and wasn't updated to fix the issues with the base ROM
