Hey,

I bought a SGS4m vie eBay Germany and as it turned out, it is a device from Austria. However there is no update to 4.4.2 there yet for the Austrian version. Does anyone know, when the update is coming for Austrian S4m or know a good Austrian website for SGS4m news?

Thanks!

Thank you, but I am looking for something to learn when the update will be released. I mean I can check if there already is an update for my phone by using its "check for update function". Does Samsung not give any information to when the updates roll out in the different countries? I mean it is already here in Germany, what takes it so long to get it to Austrian devices?

IMHO if you can't wait you can flash the German Kitkat Firmware with Odin (firmware is multi CSC)

Thought about that... do I have to root it in order to do that and will it wipe my data?
