What bootloader is being used in v3.2-20150805? Is it both NK2 modem and bootlader?

I'm having issues with the wifi cutting out (exclamation point) after an inderminate amount of time (sometimes 30 seconds after connecting, sometimes 30 minutes) and only getting "fixed" if I turn off the wifi and turn it back on. I suspect the modem but I don't know which to flash to try and fix it. I tried NH7 and it just broke the sound for me. :(

I took a screenshot of the phone info and found that my bootloader is M919UVUAMDB -- the baseband is MK2 currently as I did the hybrid modem (found here - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2546024 ) in attempts to fix my issue (+ retain sound) to no avail. You can see the wifi and data icon with the exclamation mark up there (apparently it means I'm connected but am not receiving/transmitting data properly?).

What is the baseband used with bootloader M919UVUAMDB? Should I use a different bootloader? If so, which one and how do I do it?

This wifi issue is driving me nuts. A friend told me he experienced something similar on his S4 (Verizon) and gogolies' wifi fix ( https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=14640 ) did the trick for him -- maybe there is something similar for T-mobile bootloader/baseband that I've been overlooking?

I'm still relatively clueless, so I apologize if there are any glaring obvious mistakes in my posts, I'm trying to be as concise as I can.

I pulled the link for that test build sadly, but that should've had Camera working perfectly

I'm using NK2 (T-Mobile 4.4.4) with no sound or wifi issues.
I am using all stock firmware NK2, no hybrid or in-between stuff

Thanks, I flashed the NK2 bootloader ( http://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/general/firmwares-official-mdl-mk2-nb4-t281650 ) & NK2 modem ( http://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/development/stock-base-4-4-4-nk2-rooted-deodexed-t2990478 ) & installed latest twrp via odin for a clean reinstall of Candy and all seems to be working well now (shows "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" but it looks like I can just ignore that?). Wi-fi and data hasn't dropped so far and sound is all good.

I put links just so someone can do the same thing I did if they're in the same situation.

How has the battery life been?
Also as I've been testing some of my changes to the badass governor,
It's a lot snappier than before, I haven't tested battery life.
I've also been hitting a snag, my builds are ending up as 13MB, so something weird's up.
I'm still trying to unify this device so all variants will be supported like @AntaresOne does in his Optimized CM 12.1 ROM

Hey mate,
better to fork directly my repo, I'll make a clean branch asap

(I see your post is from 13 August, in case you solved just ignore this message and sorry for the OT :D)

Yeah the SEAndroid enforcing thing is Knox rearing it's ugly head
Enjoy the ROM

It turns out unification is a PITA, it's just easier for me to build all of them separately.
Anyways, I have a new kernel for you guys, it has 2 new commits.
1 is from CM, the other is to help wifi networks with lower signal to be seen.
https://github.com/CandyDevices/kernel_samsung_jf/commit/da29147188dd1a97e9f66e5767581a85a6f6bc1f
If anyone is able to provide feedback on that, that would be nice.
The boot.img is here: https://www.copy.com/s/t:Mk2WpGV3cjzdND2E;p:%2Fpaul/jfwifitest.img;oid:4070

Im using the version from the link you gave me above.. everything just keeps stopping.. browser messenger and so on.. ive wiped reinstalled several times all with latest version of twrp. Any advice?

If i install tkgapps with the rom i cant get past wifi screen.. i was having an issue with another rom 5.1.1 and chrome was crashing. I also tried this rom without gapps and browser would fail.. this is weird.

@void4android : Had the same problem. Tried clean install but Gapps kept giving trouble. So had to go back to previous build. Been solid till now.
Try updating your gapps to the latest pack then use the latest build to see if you get through. Im stuck with the 'sim card removed' nuisance for a while so not able to contribute here. But the current stable build last easily 24 hours for me. If i use viper4android, spotify and clash of clans.. it lasts close to 18-20 hours.

All the best

That's weird, I use TK Gapps, and I'm not having any issues. I haven't flashed that boot.img yet however GAPPS FC's have nothing to do with the kernel

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates, school started and I've been busy with that, and i've also been focusing a little more on msm8660 stuff. However, new build should be coming this weekend. I'll try to get GPU OC in if I get the time. (Note: with showp's kcontrol module you can also change the powerlevels used for scaling so there will be extra freqs in there so you can manually fine tune it). Also, all JF variants (except jactivelte) which are officially supported by CM will be supported from now on (separate builds, not unified).

Hey there,
Just switched over from stock and I had a couple questions. Loving the ROM so far but hoping I can get a few things sorted out.

Screenshots. I tried to take a screenshot earlier today and it just wouldn't take via the hone and power button method. Has this been removed. Or changed? Is there someway to enable it? Or at the very least is there a way to bring that functionality back?

Ota updates. Got a notice of an ota update for the ROM. Do I have to re-wipe to upgrade or will I be fine just upgrading to this

Overall I love the ROM so far so thanks for everything!

Screenshot is power+volume down or you can add it to power menu in settings/candy interface /buttons/power menu. No wipe needed for ota, download and click install, if it doesn't auto install you'll find the zip in internal sd/candy ota

    New build is UP!
Sorry for the delay, I've been a bit busy with schoolwork and finals.
I've built this yesterday and I've been running it since and it's working wonderfully.
Check the AFH folder in the OP!

Messaging app goes completely black after 2-3 texts in quick succession.

Try using the Google Messenger App
We pull the messaging app from CM so the bug is on their side unfortunately

Also the new build is UP! Check the AFH Folder in the OP (new folder)

Hey guys, good news. Over the next few days I have some extra time to finally try and figure out my planned Cake Kernel for Candy5 that I never got around to doing because of bootloops that I was too lazy to fix
This should improve battery life greatly because jfltetmo battery life is horrible tbh, so now hopefully stock Cake Kernel will have good battery life
@g7755725 and all other custom rom devs, feel free to include my kernel in your ROMs (it will need some ramdisk changes for building inline with source built ROMs, check my device trees, for other ROMs, just copy the boot.img over) just give me the proper credits for putting it all together and send me a PM for what ROM you're using it for and a link to your thread so I can check for proper crediting.
I'm also going to try to add ROM Optimizations to Candy5 to try to speed up the ROM just because I can (things like O3, Graphite, Strict Aliasing, etc.) aka optimization porn
If nothing errors or breaks and it boots up I will release it tomorrow with Cake Kernel
My ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for other kernels to be used with this ROM and to make it as stable, fast, and have acceptable battery life at least for this device
    tl;dr version:
    More Features
    Custom Kernel
    Better Battery Life
    Optimizations

any screen shot for the rom? is this base CM12 rom? loli 5.1?tia

It's 5.1.0 right now. Candy5 is based off of CM12 and it uses CM's Device Trees and Kernel. I don't have any screenshots handy unfortunetely

Also to @all, Looks like my custom kernel isn't booting up for some reason. I'll try to make it boot up but I'm not sure what to do
I'll try to get a build for 5.1.1 up tomorrow
