OK so I'm completely lost when it comes to flashing a kernel on this phone. I recently moved to this phone from the DNA and flashing kernels is the only thing I can't seem to grasp. I understand the whole bootloader being locked on this device, but nowhere can I find instructions on how to flash a kernel while using safe strap. I get the feeling it's like being s-on on an HTC device where u have to flash the modules through adb but I can't find any instructions on how to do so. All I see is flashing w/ loki and through cwm or twrp. If someone could clarify what I need to do to flash a custom kernel while safestrapped I would greatly appreciate it. I'm on the newest Echoe rom v29 if that helps and NC5 bootloader.

Coming from an HTC device, it's like I'm having to learn this all over again
