CHANGELOG:

- smoother UI (Faster!)

- now supports emoji (like from swiftkey keyboard)
- faster launching of heavy games (tested with amazing spiderman and GTA) (only based on my previous experience, not side by side)
- statusbar icon changes
- wireless printing
- some new stuff in accessibility
- some new stuff in developer mode
- better battery life (especially in power saver mode)
- gps switch overall changed to location

I wouldn't make such a long guide if it didn't right?

It was tested on our own s4 zoom devices, so unless you've done something wrong.. it will indeed work

Please update the guide.
The HOME button also needs to be pressed to enter "Download Mode".

Press and hold ‘Volume Down + Home + Power’ buttons together until you see the device "Download Mode"

I am trying to root my Galaxy S4 zoom but unsuccessful.

I had received OTA update to Android 4.4 a couple of days ago. I did not flash the Android 4.4 ROM posted here, I only followed instructions in "B. Flashing TWRP Custom Recovery + ROOT your device!"

Odin says recovery is flashed successfully..

When I try to reboot into recovery mode to apply root, I don't see such option nor TEAMWIN Logo.
Attached is what I see in recovery mode. Is this the TWRP Custom Recovery or not?

If not, any idea why I don't get TWRP Custom Recovery when odin already flashed it successfully?
I have also attached my device info.

I tried Cydia Impactor too as described in another thread but it does not work on Galaxy Zoom running stock Android 4.4.2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=54321273

Kingoroot doesn't work either.

is this just me or any one else suffered this as well

first of all, the KitKat is good but it need more space

now, when i flashed KitKat on my device it all went well, installed some apps, rooted it and i got so happy - but - took few photos, opened the gallery and every time i tap a picture on the gallery the camera opens. There is no way i view the pictures from the gallery. It always opens the camera.

second thing, some games (csr racing and classics, racing rivals and drag racing 3d) wont even start, they just freeze. it more looks like a ram memory requirement that freezes the games than any other issue. this makes me not like the Kit Kat on my S4 ZOOM so i am going back to stock for now.

i truly hope no one had this experience

sorry for any "party pooping" but i got so happy with 4.4.2 and when that happened i almost threw my phone away - and i bought it because i so LOVE IT

happy Ramadan and wish u all the best to everyone
