I'm so surprise as this never happened on my old s2. Now I'm trying to recover some files but s4 blocking access to those files. Phone is rooted running 4.3 Any advice please? How to remove those blocking system ? Please Please

if they were stored on the internal and you formatted it, they are basically gone, as i don't think you can mount this in windows, you will only have limited access to certain files via the mtp interface.

if they were on your ext sd card, remove it and use a card reader to connect to your pc and try recovery software?

This is part of how to install SlimKat

Reboot to recovery.
In recovery make a full wipe as per these instructions:
In CWM perform wipe data / factory reset and in mounts and storage section format system.
In TWRP choose advanced in wipe section and wipe dalvik cache, cache, system and data.
Flash SlimKat rom zip.
Flash SlimKat gapps zip.
Reboot, setup and enjoy.

What's up
You will delete,format again,wipe again
before install
I need to talk?
