[Q] [i9505] still stuck at 4.2.2, no kitkat update?

Hey guys, so i really want the kitkat update, but i can't get it. It says, that 4.2.2 is the latest version.. What should i do?

Which phone model du you have?
Rootet or not?
You can install the newest firmware yourself with Odin if you want.

This is a guide for i9505 and i9500 so check you model before flashing

i have the i9505 and i am not rooted. Will this method work if im not rooted?

Yes will work. Chose the right firmware for your country and be happy
Firmwares are listed in post 2 of the guide I think

Which csc do you have then?
csc means the firmware code. You can find it out when you connect the S4 with Kies. There you can find 3 letters in brackets.

That's kind of a problem.. Kies does not recognize my S4...

Oh okay. You can take the open Europe firmware. Or you can google you country and look if there is a 4.4.2 firmware for it

Sorry for stupid questions, but when i extracted the .rar, i got 4 different files. Should i select the largest one? I'm asking, because "Step 5) click on pda in odin (if odin 3.09 choose AP) and choose the file ".tar"". And if my phone is 16gb, i don't need any extra steps or something?

Chose the .tar file and ad in AP
Can you give me a link from this firmware?
Did you download a four part firmware?
