Yes it will work. If you had done a search, you would have found dozens of threads about it.
The best way to do it is to Odin flash a custom recovery like TWRP and then install a custom ROM from TWRP. Phoenix is one good one and 900F based. Or the are many others, both stock and customized.
Note that installing a custom recovery or kernel. Or even some roots will increment the Knox counter. Most people aren't concerned about that but it could have warranty ramnifications.
If you aren't willing to stand up to Knox, then you could Odin flash a full 900F firmware. But that isn't without risk. Some people will claim it's risk free, but it's not. If you go this route, make an effort to find the proper 900F PIT file, there is a thread that has them, and flash it at the same time as the 900F firmware.
Some W8 firmware is locked down pretty tight. If Odin balks, then install the more cooperative stock Rogers firmware first as a base before proceeding further.
I do recommend TWRP as the better and safer option. TWRP is also the best tool for backing up your phone.
