I've not had a Samsung device for a while, been in Nexus land, but I picked up a Tab Pro 8.4 last night on sale and while I'm giving TW/MUX a whirl I'm sure I'll end up flashing CM so I have consistency with my N5/N7.

I've found the directions at the CM site: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Instal...r_mondrianwifi
I've also found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2677244

I had an S3 prior to the N5 so I'm familiar with rooting/flashing a Samsung device but like I said it's been a bit over a year and things change. So what is the easiest way to install a custom recovery/root/ROM on this beast?

@darrenxes reported here that he managed to use towelroot and Flashify to install CM11 without triggering the KNOX counter.

I myself used Odin to install ClockWorkMod Recovery by @crpalmer here and then CM11.

I saw a post somewhere in this forum saying that Heimdall doesn't work anymore.

Thanks for the info on Heimdall, I'll look into towel and odin.
