That commit is only required to switch to newer hardware support. Unfortunately, the newer hardware support libraries also cause our GPU to hang so I haven't been able to move to them yet.

Last builds of CM do not work with your kernel. It seems any commit between 8/16 build (works) and 8/21 (fails, and also following 8/23) brokes LibidinosoSC kernel.

I'm out of home, I can't do and adb for logs, but that's what happens (I've tried 8/21 and 8/23 builds, with exactly the same result, but only if flashing your kernel, with CM's stock there's no problem):

They flash properly (or it seems so...), and boot properly, then reconstructs the dalvik cache (with the usual time for ART to do so), and then it loops in the last message (initializing system, or something like that, mine is in Spanish). It gets there forever...
If I try to force reboot, I can get past this, but then it's a continuous pop-up about system fail, and never gets to desktop. Same if I boot after flashing CM without flashing LibidinosoSC (starts properly) and then go again into Recovery to flash your kernel: it gives the continuous System Fail...

I hope that helps... If you need more testing, tell me and I'll try again when at home, in a week or so.

Sorry I've been busy... I will look into it this weekend....

I can confirm. Last builds of CM give no problems anymore with your kernel.

Thanks for the kernel! It's amazingly smooth and fast.
Just a quick question, is usbnet added to this kernel? And in case it's not, can you point me to one compiled by you or someone else? Thank you!

Edit: found the answer to the question myself. Also, compiled my first ever android kernel, yay! Another question: why is cpu hotplug not enabled for this device? I am just curious, because cpu hotplug isn't found in either stock rom or cm rom.
