Waiting for my 8.4, but seeing these stats aren't too impressive!
My Air 2 easily does more than 4 hrs SOT, hard to quantity without battstats but battery life is evidently more efficient

read almost all this thread about battery life in galaxy tab s. I have Tab S 8.4 LTE four months. My SOT in between 2-4 hours. I really do everything to prolong this time. Black screen, minimal brightness, reboot, clean cache, different save options...but nothing really worked. When tablet is off in 10%....after charge immediately go to 25%. Before 14 days i decided to go to samsung center to change battery and other things which is necessary. After few days I have a call to come to tablet. They are not changing anything...not battery...not anything. They just update some firmware and software things ( I dont know exactly what) After that I have incredible screen time for me...7-8 hours with heavy usage.... The battery is really really good, really astonishing. When I charge tablet the % is real and accurate. All is doing extremely well. I just smiled...

so i have the T705Y 8.4 inch here in aus and im getting anywhere between half hour to 2 hours SOT lately i noticed that my tablet was dying but i would plug it into charge and it would have 15% to 25% battery..... thought hey... maybe needs to be calibrated.... i decided at the same time to root my tablet and i used some of the tools that needed root..... after recalabrating it would only charge up-to 75% and be dead quick as nuts..... around this time i tried flashing CM12 onto it and it got stuck i could not shut it off or turn it on.... so i pulled it apart and disconnected the battery and reconnected it (accidentally broke the connector on the board on the ground side) but the battery connects fine and all that.... anyways i flashed Stock TW rom back on and rooted that and put a custom kernel on and then it started turning itself off and rebooting itself.... so this time round i tried to flash CM12 again and it went on and worked good.... but i was still getting random shut downs.... this time i also noticed that the battery % was going up and down every time the tablet rebooted.... eventually i went back to TW as on CM12 i had lag issues with games.... so now my tablet is turning itself off several times a day random reboots have dropped but happen...... and i was in TWRP doing a nandroid backup to my seagate external hard drive and part way through (i was holding my tablet) it shut off at 60% battery, turned it back on and tried the backup again but lay the tablet flat down and nothing bad happened.... it backed up properly.... i decided to try another backup and held the tablet and it turned itself off again once the backup got started..... so.... this is defiantly a battery issue right?
does anyone have an ebay link to a replacement one that's reliable?

I had a problem like this once on my nexus 4 and it was battery related ( can be dying battery, bad battery...). Maybe you should ask for a battery replacement if it is under warranty or by a new one and change it yourself
