Default Can't check for system update manually

The last time the 8.4 checked for updates was on the 30th of June. Even when I tap the button to update now, the date doesn't change. Is this a bug?

I can't answer for the 8.4, but on my 10.5 when I click to check now it goes to a spinning circle and says I have the latest updates. It also changes the date to the current. Sounds to me like it's not connecting to their server for some reason.

Best thing is to download Kies to your desktop computer and check that way.
