Music Player V5.4.2

My music player, is not playing my songs. They touch for 2 seconds and skips to the next and the message, impossible to reproduce.
The player of version 5.2.9 had no problems. How do it in version 5.4.2? Any APK that can pass me?

Use a different player instead because the stock one is very buggy for our phones.

I use PowerAmp :p and is the best in my opinion

I was just about to revert from the V5.4.2 to KitKat, but since you just don't give up with the updates, I guess I will give it another try... :D Thanks. :)

That said, I keep having serious issues with the basic "mobile phone" functionality -- making phone calls. Calling somebody out seems to be working reasonably well in the recent builds, but e.g. yesterday I got an incoming call just a second after I opened some app and the result was a complete lock-up: the app that usually loads within a second or two froze up, the phone started ringing and I was not able to do a thing. After the caller gave up, the app finished loading and a missed call showed up in the status bar.

I can't really tell whether it was completely frozen -- maybe it is just that the screen did not redraw: I had similar issue in the LP 5.0 based RR rom when calling somebody: after pushing the "call" button the screen froze, but the call went otherwise without a problem (I was just unable to hang up).

Other than that -- does anyone have a clue what's making LP so slow? ART is supposed to be quicker as it uses pre-compiled code (and subjectively some apps indeed at least "feel" quicker), but the latency when switching apps etc. is terrible. Any idea where does it come from? On a first glance it looks like it may be caused by excessive IO-wait, but why? What kind of change could have made such a big difference? (And how comes that nobody working on LP noticed such an obvious performance regression (compared to KK) right when the change was introduced?)

Low ram and single core. And we use massive zram(60%) which using cpu to compress and decompress. With single core it's to much burden. Even more with its animation, not all ui drawn using gpu and our gpu is very limited too, so it's fall to cpu again.

@H:S
It's not the LP bro, but our phone :)

That's the thing: at the first glance, I would assume that LP will run faster at old devices, because it is using ART -- on the same CPU, executing a binary should be faster than interpreting bytecode (+ some JIT compiled code).
@coliv_aja: Thanks, I didn't think of that. Higher memory requirements and using zRam to compensate for them certainly explains the observed lags perfectly (as they mostly appear only when switching to an app that wasn't used for some time, i.e. when it is likely to be swapped out).

I guess I will go play around with vm.swappiness for a while, I wonder how the behavior changes if I set it to a lower value..

If you had Cm 12 installed then you can use the common way as you described .

    Resurrection Remix V5.5.5 EOL

Last release is now available in the OP
New version will start rolling out also on OTA in a few minutes

Ok so if someone didn't saw my earlier posts: Yes, this the final release i make, there will be no more updates from now on cause i put the state of the thread in EOL.
Don't mention anything about Android M cause i made a full post yesterday about it.

I awaited this release number to finish the development and here it is.
The Release itself is stable enough, i checked all the common stuff so there should be nothing to complain of.
