Hey guys, mods I'm sorry if this is the wrong section.

I currently use touchless controls paired with commander app and Tasker to skip tracks on my android phone. It works most of the time but not always. I just say "ok Google now, skip track" and presto chango pandora or Amazon will skip to the next song.

I always have my phone paired to a bluetooth speaker in a cabinet in my bathroom. Without placing my phone in a waterproof bag I'd like to take it another direction. I want a bluetooth remote, maybe bluetooth 4.0. Ideally waterproof. But I would have no issue if it wasn't waterproof. I would feel more comfortable having that in the shower or tub than my phone.

Plus I'd have the ability to pause, adjust volume etc.

So. Anybody out there have or know of a solution?

Also if anyone has any other ideas, maybe a waterproof speaker that has media controls on it, I would be open to that idea. I'd just prefer not to have something that constantly needs moved and plugged in.

Edit :

Motorola has this on sale for $9.99

I have read that it is compatible with kit kat. I could just use an app that let's volume keys be reprogrammed to skip the song. Then if I got a call I could use this as an auxiliary handset I guess? Just put it in a waterproof bag?

I've been looking for something similar to use on my motorcycle while riding. I have the bluetooth receiver, but no way to control the device while riding. Touchscreens don't work through gloves, nor do I want to mount the phone in a visible place and have to play with it (not that you can see the screen in the sun anyway).

I ran into the following Amazon products that appear to work, but none seem to be waterproof or resistant. However, you could just put them into a Ziploc bag and use them that way:

If you (or anyone else) run into other similar suggestions, I'd love to hear about them.

Sad thing is, I already have an iPod setup with a Scosche branded wireless controller that works well. It has a water-resistant wristband and a dongle that plugs into the ipod dock connector to control it. This works great, but iPods don't have Spotify, hence why I'm looking for a new solution. And I'm concerned when the iPod dies, I'll have no solution at all.

Also, there are many bluetooth "shower" speakers available as well, which are waterproof and have built in speakers. I can't use such a device on the motorcycle, as a speaker won't pipe sound into my helmet (and I already have a system for that)... but you mentioned you would consider this, hence I suggested it...
