Phone [Q] Double Tap Screen On

I'm having Micromax Canvas HD a116.

I have seen one feature in Nokia Lumia 720 that if you Double tap the screen it will on no need to press power key.

So how to add this feature to my Android phone ??

There is indeed. But it's not as simply as installing a new app. You'll need to be rooted, have custom recovery installed, and flash a custom kernel. If you don't understand what I just said, then you have a lot of reading and learning ahead of you.

Same way(s) you flash a custom ROM. Either pushed through ADB or from custom recovery (CWM or TWRP).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2596271

This kernel supports dt2w (double tap to wake) and s2w (sweep to wake). I tried dt2w on my Nexus 4, and frankly I found it way too sensitive (it kept turning on inside my pocket). I love s2w though. It's more reliable, and doesn't accidentally activate in my pocket.

It looks like this kernel also adds a lot of other tweaks that could improve the performance of your phone.

Just remember to do a back-up first, just in case.

I have tried 2 times.
After installing this kernel my phone stuck at startup screen.
Fortunately able to find the recovery mode by pressing volume up and down key & power key at a time. And installed ROM again.

Why this is happening?
I'm using Sony X Flare ROM

You'd be better off asking in that thread or in the device's forum.
