I've already done plenty of searching on this, but all the advice on restoring/changing ESNs seem to be geared toward smartphones. I kept an LG Remarq from Sprint around, deactivated, to use as a backup phone. Not too long ago, however, I decided to play around with things I shouldn't -- no illegal intent here, just curiosity -- and accidentally zeroed the ESN with the CDMA Workshop. What I want to do is restore the ESN on the back cover; I have all the details (MEID, and the ESN and MSL calculated from that MEID) but am lost as to what process I should take to make sure the phone doesn't reject me when I try to change the ESN to anything other than 0x00000000. Am I screwed here; do I need to ditch this phone and get a new one, or do I have hope?
