I so want to update this device to Kit Kat 4.4.2. It is stuck trolling at 4.1.2. I am tired of waiting for ATT to get around to releasing an update (BLOATWEAR INCLUDED). Is there any other way to do it? I have heard that rooting would allow me to do it but I don't know the first thing about rooting and don't want to brick my tablet because I use it at work on a daily basis.

Any help much appreciated. Sorry in advance if this question has been asked/answered. Been hunting solutions all day and eyes are worn out.

In order to flash a rom, stock or custom you will have to root your tablet first. Try this thread: xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2430540 for tips on how to do it. There is always a certain risk involved in rooting/flashing so be sure to read about other users experience, before executing at own risk! Good Luck
