I called Verizon regarding the warranty on a phone of mine. As I'm talking to her, "My Verizon" app asks for root permission, I deny it. A few moments later she tells me my phone is rooted & my warranty is void, I protest, she further tells me I have "some apps on my phone that confirm the root" (I'm assuming My Backup Root/SuperSU)

tl;dr Verizon can see ALL your apps & is able to check root status. I'm assuming through My Verizon.

I'd recommend freezing that application ASAP...might be handy to check your data usage but not worth their spying ways.
