If you play a song via Play Music the volume will be maxed out. The bug still exists due to Franco's audio commits being incompatible with CM.

It also prevents me from playing games on the toilet at work because the bathroom stall will explode with noise. Boy was that embarrassing the first time.

I had the same issue as you up until literally 10 minutes ago. Media volume wouldn't adjust and stayed at full volume. For some reason, I was just adjusting the media volume hoping it would work WHILE plugging in headphones and now it does! Sorry if I sound like a crackpot but now I can adjust media volume freely?

Play music
Adjust volume on device while plugging in headphones
???
Profit?

Is CM's CAF kernel decent? Why do they feel it's the better branch to be using? It would be nice to just flash the ROM and know you're getting a good kernel out of the box.

From the looks of it everyone is still having the media volume issue? Anyone figure out a workaround?

Was working perfectly with the bricked kernel until the very recent iterations of CM11. Typicall working good with M4, but not with M5
Any chance to update the patch? I love that kernel and CM11...

yeah, it's good, i can get about 5hr and a bit more SOT with mixed usage which is pretty good. But it lacks the customization such as color calibration, a must for many
