I'm wondering about the note about franco kernel too.
I went and tried to simply flash franco kernel and these libs, no issues so far, but there is still this paranoid feeling lingering that I did something wrong.

Edit: Not without issues after all, can't change volume in some games, e.g. Farmville Heroes.

Franco ramdisk isnt very different from CMs one. You cant change the vibration amplitude and governor, but all other things are in sync with CM.

Volume issue is not from kernel, but from an audio lib.

Not really true, or I'd say misleading.
Sure if you play games you will eat your battery faster than if you are in stand by... That I hope everybody knows. That being said with the same typical usage, your battery life can easily vary of 20 to 30% depending on your ROM, your kernel, your governor, etc...It's an hour or two of usage of your phone (for the same type of usage) which is usually worth it

Anyone have an explanation for the note about franco? I was also wondering if there's anything we need to do besides flash this patch then the kernel.

I went ahead and did that and everything works but battery life has been pretty mediocre. In BBS, system ui has high usage so I feel like I missed something important but I have no idea what that might be. Can anyone help?

Does this only work when you flash just after flashing CM, or is it OK to use after using CM for almost a month?

I noticed that after I flashed this file and then an aosp kernel my volume didn't work right on some apps. They would play at full volume when I would have the slider all the way over to silent. Is there anyone else having this issue?
