Did you make sure to download the SDK and update everything in 4.4 and the usb drivers?

Had something similar and then tried using a different USB cable, hey presto it worked!

I was stock, custom twrp recovery, and rooted with 4.4. Got the OTA yesterday.

Turns out that I have lost the twrp recovery and root.

What will be the quickest way to get the custom recovery and root back? I'm new to flashing... So specific commands or instructions are welcome.

FYI those using MX Player, it was updated on the market today. Need to update the custom codec too.

[edit] Clarification: updated to support 4.4.1 and 4.4.2, meaning they probably just disabled the message saying the version is not supported.

Install twrp, then goto advanced>reboot and it'll root the phone.
