So they dropped the source today. Anyone with an ubuntu machine wanna try building it? I don't have access to my ubuntu machine at the moment but once i do i'm going to try building it for hammerhead.

Here's the github
https://github.com/mer-hybris

Here's the announcement

Edit: obviously you would need to add the hammerhead device trees and if you don't know how to do that then don't bother trying to build it. looks to be based off CM so technically any device that can run CM can run sailfish with some modifications.

well, their github sources is based on cm10.1.3 (android 4.2.2)

might be harder to port to nexus 5(only having a cm11) than nexus 4(which has a working cm10.1.3 repo tree)
Current Device:
Oppo Find 5 - experimental kernel

Yeah, that isn't happening.

Always read the OP's of a thread and the last 2 pages before asking questions, unless there has been an update - in which case, read the last 5 pages!

nexus 5 | SlimKat | ElementalX kernel | Philz Touch Recovery

What's the chances it works with the Ubuntu touch kernel, they both use libhybris, right?, I wanted to try and swap out the Ubuntu ROM files with the sailfish one(the nexus 4 sailfish rom), but don't know how to access it.

There will be some differences I'm sure can force it to work with some tweaks here and there
