I don't know how much free space is left, as I didn't check after installation and since then have made lots of changes, but you can easily remove whatever you want after installation.
There are numerous ways to remove apps from system and/or convert them to user. From manual doing the operation with adb, file managers with root access, apps with this functionality (e.g. Titanium backup and some gazillion similar) through dedicated apps just to do that. Or a flashable zip, as the one two posts above which is probably the preferred method.
So you can remove lots and lots of stuff-and then some more. Any Google apps that can be downloaded from store, Animated screen savers, languages that you don't use, sounds, boot animations etc.
Question why are you so concerned about system memory space? This isn't of such concern on this device. You can probably work fine with 30-60 MB free space in system- leaves more than enough for hosts file, xposed framework and so on...
