Can you please make a recording and show us? A fan makes a nice sound to hear what is wrong.
Well... I remember that i HAD this thing on stock and in earlier slimkat builds (it was like underwater with sound distortions). And this patch fixed the problem. Just to be sure if i don't have placebo or smth i put stock mic settings. But(!) i couldn't get this on latest slimkat build! Videos recorded with Google Camera app.
with fix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-QbN...ature=youtu.be
w/o fix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnO47...ature=youtu.be
You can hear that with fix it sounds more clear and less loud, but w/o it sounds like i'm trying to smash table by my fingers (very loud and little echo). Distance between sound source and telephone is minimal.
Google Nexus 5 16Gb

ROM: Slimkat 4.4.4 MinuxBuild F2FS
Kernel: UBER Kernel Linaro 4.10

Weird.

If it was software it should have been already fixed.

Google is aware of the issue because on their forums there was a huge thread about this issue since November, and the moderators said they were aware of this issue and were working on it.

Exactly the same distortion I'm seeing with 'L'.
