well I think I've narrowed it down to faceunlock, it seems after disabling this feature and rebooting the problem goes away. maybe what causes it is that it spazzes out after storing so many different photos of your face in different situations and lighting conditions. interestingly after clearing the faceunlock data then switching to a different unlock method then going back to setup faceunlock again it wouldn't allow me to do so, just stays on "Starting up" and no photos are recorded, in fact the camera doesn't even run but you can still use the camera normally after unlocking the phone.

I'm facing the same issue past 15 days. And it's not SNAPCHAT. I've uninstalled the app but still the same "Can't connect to Camera".

I've read some online forums and seems like it's a bug in some nexus devices after 4.4.4 update.

What's your views fellas?
