Extremely Slow PlayStore Speeds on WIFI.....

Sooo I really need some help.......
This is becoming extremely hurtful for my nexus 5 experience.

Iv'e had the phone for about a week now, so far loving everything about it.
have been extremely surprised at how awesome the phone runs on Straight talk... $45 a month.. what more could you ask for.

Now the only issue im having is the fact that the download speeds on the play store are stupid when im on wifi.
I mean my home internet is not amazing by any means... its only running at about 6mbs and the rest of my apps make full use of it.
But for some odd reason the PlayStore downloads at about 20 kb/s........

Iv'e read a few other people have been having this issue and I was wondering if any one has a solid fix for this?!?!?!

I'm fairly confident that play store does some QoS (dscp) tagging on his traffic lowering the priority so if you have other applications consuming the bandwidth there will be much less available for your phone.
If your modem supports QoS you can assign dscp 0 (best effort, which is the default) to all traffic coming from your phone or assign a lower priority to the other bandwidth consuming services.

another thing to try is to turn off both mobile data and WiFi, wait @ 10 seconds, then switch WiFi on by itself.
