Default Failed error in flashing any roms

Okay so on two different roms that I知 trying to flash through TWRP I知 getting failure errors.

I知 doing a factory reset first, then wiping dalvik, system, and cache, then flashing the rom, then I get a red failure error.

The log says 都ymlink: some symlinks failed,
摘: Error executing updater binary in zip 壮dcard/XXXX樗
摘rror flashing zip /sdcard/XXXX.zip,
填pdating partition details. . . .
then a red 擢ailed

Any ideas?

I've tried flashing hammerhead's Cataclysm and the Speed roms. Both get same failures. Both have right MD5's.
I've got a bad feeling about this.

I have seen some cases where a bad flash of TWRP caused these issues. Sometimes re-flashing TWRP solves the issue, have you tried that?

Ok. So via ADB, I will reboot into bootloader, reflash TWRP, and see if that works.

Well that's weird. Just for kicks I redownloaded the rom and tried again.

Everything went smoothly this time.

Strange. What are the odds I had two bad downloads?

It would have been via fastball not adb
