I am new at this and not sure if I can flash kernel on stock nexus 5.
My nexus is unlocked and so as the boot loader.
I just don't wanna brick my phone. Can some one please tell me I can flash custom kernel on my stock nexus 5.
The reason why I want a custom curner is cause my battery life is poor.

Hi,

What do you mean by "poor battery life"?

Flash another kernel will not obviously improve your battery life. Battery life depends mainly of your use, apps, settings (like screen brightness, synchro), data signal, etc...

For example if you have an app with a ton of wakelocks, flashing another kernel will not do better...

Maybe in first you should identify the cause of your "poor battery life".
