USABLE space for the user is:

26.7 GB for the 32 GB
12.55 GB for the 16 GB

Not an answer to the direct question but i have the 32g and also use a micro USB drive .
USB drive requires stickmount pro and root explorer pro .that external solution that some would like to have

You can use Micro USB drive with Stickmount free and any file explorer, although root access is a bonus as sometimes stickmoutn doesn't give write permissions to the drive.

Also there are custom kernels that allow OTG mounting without stickmount.

Yeah absolutely agree about supporting devs. But its always good to know you can test first.

I tend to only to only sleep at night time

I tested and liked so i bought pro for support,extra features, a simple happiness. It is 6:22 am where i live and well I'm up cause i just worked my night shift .my previous watchdog over in ATT Samsung Galaxy S4 was graydiggy.again thank you
