Hi

I know this is really stupid but I went swimming and had my nexus 5 in the pocket all the time < 2 hours!

When I realized this it was probably too late and my phone did not turn on. So I immediately did a little hair dryer, opened the phone (only the back cover) and put it in rice for 2 days.

Now when I turn on the phone it boots up, shows the Google logo then restarts and repeats. When I try to go into recovery, it does and I can use the volume up down keys without problem. But it just doesn't start fully.

Before trying my luck with Google's warranty, I want to know if something can be done? If it cannot become fully functional is there a way to recover my data from it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Probably can't save the phone. I'm surprised it turns on at all. Do you have a custom recovery or are you stock. If custom you might be able to get your data

I have custom recovery but I think its the bootloader menu that comes up not the recovery. My mistake in the OP.

Warranty doesn't cover water damage.
