Assuming I use a kernel that supports it, does the Nexus 5 hardware support fastcharge?

To be safe, we're both talking about when you can fully disable data communication and have it only charge when connected to a computer, right?

im talking about AC adapter wall charging via the usb not through PC
PC is 500ma
AC adapter is 1Amp

The charging controller inside the Nexus 5 is 25% more efficient then other smart phones such as the note 3
and it supports fast charging state

Check it here http://www.ti.com/product/bq24192 Nexus 5 has the BQ24192 model

Ok, that's not the fastcharge I mean.
On Galaxy Nexus with Roms and Kernels that supported it, you could enable fastcharge to a PC.
That's what I'm looking to find out if it's supported.

Its on the Mahdi ROM. Under performance settings/battery. Maybe this device is unsafe to plug into a computer while fast charge is enabled. The galaxy nexus didnt have a quadcore snapdragon 800. I'm sure its one and the same

I would not recommend this option. My buddy enabled this on his HTC one and it just wasn't quite the same after a few months. The nexus charges fast on an AC outlet, the fastest I have witnessed. I know the chaos kernel supports fast charging but I am in not way supporting this feature.
