That's besides the point, it has nothing to do with user agent, It just won't connect to the wireless tethered network. I get "limited" connectivity. Meaning it won't even ever go to the T-mobile site that gives you the warning. Tethering to Android devices and iOS devices don't work as well. Which tells me that the issue is with the default gateway not providing internet (something with the phone).
What settings are you using? What device(s) are you tethering to?
