Question Nexus 5 won't take videos

So i just factory reset my phone and it still wont take videos. When hitting the record button it registers the touch but when you let go nothing happens. In snapchat trying to take a video results in a picture being taken, and in instagram it acts like its recording but nothing is stored. Any ideas for how to fix this?

looking for answers on this too. Looks like its a few weeks after you first posted. I'm rooted and running gravity box but no other mods doesn't seem to make a difference turning gravity box on or off.

---edit----

I used Wug's Toolkit to go back to stock/unrooted - then root it again. Video is working. One thing that struck me a little too late is that I had adjusted the DPI in the system.prop file. That -might- have broken video. Too late to test it now. But for those of you having this problem still - it's another thing to check on.
