Just a quick question. What's the CPU and battery temperature people are getting with purified kernel. I'm getting CPU temp of 45C and battery temp of 33C. Is that normal?

I can't edit my post, but forgot to mention I'm using the spigen case with the transparent back. If that matters lol

Hi,

Your CPU and battery temps are absolutely normal...

These temperatures can be way higher in heavy use, in any case there is thermal throttling so nothing to worry about.

It's me again Lol. Does this actually work or a placebo effect? http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2629123 seems like it does in the thread, just wondering about it with purity

Yes, it depends of your use, room temperature, Wi-Fi or 4G, CPU settings and so on...

I use them without issue for what I've tested. If there is issue I think it will be mainly with some games. In my opinion they are better than the previous in graphic benches (a bit higher) and general UI. But maybe they break compatibility with some games (like the previous).

Placebo or not, there is a changelog from Qualcomm with fixes and improvements: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=171, then...

Better is to test by yourself and see, make a nandroid backup first and don't report issue or weird behavior after you flashed them

Hi,

Yes it should be fine, wipe only Dalvik cache and cache partition, but don't forget (in the second post):

In any case don't report bug , issue, weird behavior, etc... without a clean flash. Sometimes a dirty flash is fine for some users and not for others... In case you notice some weird things not reported from other users, a clean flash should be done.
