Hi,

I recently switched from LG G2 to Nexus 5. One of the things I really miss from my old G2 is the possibility to make voice calls while my phone is in the pocket and the screen is locked with pattern.
On my Nexus when I press the call button on the headphones I get 'please unlock the device' voice message. It works fine if the screen is unlocked, but that's not an option.
It used to work just fine on G2(Android Jelly Bean) especially when I was biking or skiing.

Any solutions to make it work on Nexus 5?

Regards,
Mike

You could use tasker, create a profile to disable the lock screen when headphones are plugged in.

Thanks! But it needs root for 'Pattern Lock' control in Secure Settings plugin, is there any way to do it without having to root my Nexus?

Regards,
Mike

I can't think of a way to do it without rooting. You should consider rooting, with the n5 it's super quick and easy.
