Default [Q] Can't find SuperSU zipfile to complete ROOT

Hey,

I've almost rooted my Nexus 5, it rebooted into Android, the notification bar said to install SuperSU tap here. I'm then taken to a page with two options. First one is to use Google Play to UPDATE SuperSU, tried this but Google Play won't open. So I tapped TWRP, which says Download complete, i hit continue, then phone reboots into TWRP, i tap install..... but then i cant find the downloaded zip anywhere??

I've tried copying and pasting the zip from my PC but it just doesn't seem to be doing anything?

Am i doing something wrong? Please help? I can't go back to my old SGS2 as it wont take the micro sim

In twrp recovery goto restart > system and it'll ask you if you want to root your phone, easy as pie.
Captivate + cm7
HP Touchpad + cm9
SGS2 + cm9
Galaxy Nexus + CNA
LG Nexus 4 + AOKP
LG Nexus 5

Thanks for the reply Peachpuff,

I've done that, and it boots Android, but Camera fails just after boot, Google Play fails after boot, and I can't make or receive any calls?

Wish I'd left it as it was, but the benefits of rooting were too hard to resist fiddling!!

You got more going on than just not getting root. Follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=47156064

I just tapped on wipe, reset to factory settings and it restarted into Android, everything seems to be fine! I've just updated SuperSU, that worked fine. I'm pretty sure it's all rooted now!

Thanks for your help guys, was starting to think I'd killed a phone within hours of receiving it!!
