Hi,

I am unable to view edited photos via Google Photos app on my PC when the device is plugged in via USB.

To reproduce simply:

1. Take a photo
2. Edit the photo via Photos and save the edit
3. Plug in to PC via USB

The edited photo for me is 0 bytes in size and cannot be displayed and usually ends with a ~2.jpg suffix. The picture however can be displayed, sent, further edited on the device.

Any help would be most appreciated as my current work around is enabling auto-backup and downloading the photos.

Thanks

Edit: I'm using a Windows 8 PC and the nexus 5 is connecting via MTP. I am also not rooted and using stock.
Edit2: using an FTP server I am able to retrieve the files, looks like a windows issue.

If anyone else can confirm this with their nexus I'd really appreciate it.

Are the pictures being saved to the Camera folder?

Hi Philip,

Yes they are - under DCIM\Camera. Since your response, I have found another work around - FTP server on the device this displays the file size correctly.
