[FLASH ZIP] Bypass Nexus 5 Lock Screen

[HMJ-q8]

My idea is to replace the lock screen files with an empty null stock lock screen data
and the phone will be without lock screen at all "just slide to unlock"
without format or modify any data "settings, media, apps, Rom data ..etc"

So what is it ?
It's a zip file that bypass any lock screen
-Pattern
-Pin
-Password
-Face

How
Just flash it with CWM

- tested with Nexus 5 Kitkat
- Works fine with kitkat and jelly bean [didn't test it on ICS but I think it gonna work too]
- [BACKUP FIRST]

Why to use it?
So you forgot you pin or pass? no need for format
1- just download zip file on USB [OTG] then flash it TWRP
2- CWM sideload
3- If your device support external memory card.. copy it then flash it

Can't you just select "none" as a lock screen option under security to achieve the same thing?

If you read the entire OP you would've saw it says it's for if you forgot your pattern/pin/password.

well it would be weird if they do so unless they want your data.
Full flash is preferred!

What's wild is I just had to use my first backup and you bet it had a pattern lock I didn't remember and this would have been handy for a faster result. I ended up entering the pattern wrong so many times it finally asked me for my email address and opened rite up.I now have your zip in case it happens again.thank you and its a great idea

That would mean they need ADB knowledge to push the zip to the phone in recovery since the phone has to be unlocked to access internal storage.

it's easy to push file via abd sideload ! just type "adb sideload FILE-NAME.zip"

however you can flash it with TWRP via USB OTG

1. you need a custom recovery
2. you need to disable signature verification if your custom recovery uses it

Is there a way to protect against this other than not having a custom recovery? I unfortunately couldn't think of one yet. I'll keep on tho.

if you encrypt the device you will not be able to flash something to data partition without entering the correct password and the zip on this thread needs data partition

It's called flashing. The idea is you keep the zip on your phone, incase you need it. You can get recovery with a locked phone and flash it
