TWRP Recovery does nothing. Cant do backup (left it for half a day and still 0 byte in the backup folder), won't let me flash the new rom update or even updating superuser bin. Wiping data took nearly an hour. I downloaded MTK Engineering Mode from store to customise the baseband frequency to fit with my telco (uses EURO Band when in 4G, Auto in normal WCDMA only mode) requirements.

you can flash English TWRP recovery from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!QtYF0LLR!u0NBtW...ROG-7PHNZbrPcQ
it was made especially for lenovo a806. (this is the source where I have found the english TWRP: http://www.needrom.com/download/reco...0-lenovo-a806/)

* just in case i will need your method of different version of busybox, can you upload the busybox that is working for you?
* can you try to backup your rom with online nandroid backup? (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nnandbup&hl=en)

thank yoy

You should also know that 3G and 4G in your phone will work ONLY in China, everywhere else in world you have just 2G phone even without 3G.

Is it absolutely impossible open 3G or LTE bands to Lenovo A808t? It has the same modem, or not? I know there’re mobiles with networking bands canceled and they can be open.

Open MTK flash tool, change language to ENG which should there already as well in Settings/General/Download "DA DL All with checksum" should be checked. Then just choose as Download-agent MTK Allinone DA bin which is supplied together with MTK flash tool and Scatter-loading file choose alston_fddopen which is in TWRP Recovery folder. Whole process of flashing 2 times is quite straightforward, only major thing which needs to be said is that battery needs to be removed to completely shut down phone (and do this also when phone starts automatically booting after successful flashing), otherwise it didn't worked for me no matter how many times I successfuly flashed phone there always stayed original Lenovo recovery.

In this Chinese thread you have picture tutorial in first post which is selfexplanatory even in Chinese:

Hahah, I see the guy added also photos for Chinese TWRP for international users, since he saw my posts there. Not sure what is possible to see wihout registration to forum. Here is my screenshot how it should look after successful flashing when you can remove battery and do it for 2nd time and then after 2nd time boot into TWRP recovery.

Btw. yesterday I already tried Xposed, but it informed me that A806 is running probably Aliyun OS (CN crap) fork of Android so it's not recommended to install Xposed to avoid bootlops and other things, which I am not missing since it's similar situation with TCL S950 my wife has, she can't run anything higher than Xposed 2.3.1 otherwise it would end up in bootloop, but at least it seem like proper Android and not some Chinese fork.

i installed by mistake xposed installer and now it stuck in Lenovo logo. what can i do now?

Thumbs up
Yup, almost happy of this phone 9/10. GPS, LTE run smoothly. The battery is ok, since it's quite new. Noticed that the wakelocks also not much compared to others androids phone. It's give me same performance as Note 3. Done the rooting, install english TWRP recovery, update the superuser with no problem at all. Managed to delete some of chinese apps + security. The best of it's average.
