My evo is being retired. Going to the LG G2 on November 8. I flashed my last evo rom and it is STRIKE. Running it right now for the past couple of weeks and no reason to change it for the next three. Thank Savoca. You and a few other devs for the evo have been amazing for the past three years!

Glad you still support it! I honestly do feel like crap for not having anything for you guys right now. I could give a bunch of excuses but quite honestly I just haven't done it.

haha, now that doesn't make sense. you gave us tons of stuff to be ever grateful for. and this darn rom makes this evo purr. what device are you using for your personal stuff now?

Right now I'm on the Sprint Gnex, moving to the Nexus 5 around December/January (Wait for LG to work out the inevitable hardware issues)

Satisfaction!

Never mind the last post about the black squares and stuff. I think I like that ROM and I will never ever flash other roms again. It goes as far as Bluetooth capabilities and Camcorder functionality.

BREAKING NEWS: However, I switched to 4.3.1. I miss that ROM...

Love this ROM. I'll likely follow your development on any project you're on! What phone you working on now?

Well I do kernels now. Nexus 5 most actively, as well as Moto G/E. Will most likely be moving to OnePlus One or the next Moto flagship, depending on what I can get my hands on first. :)

Question off topic. well, kinda =) but does this release need GAPPS? I looked in the rom/app folder and did not see playstore as well as the OP so I am assuming so.... reason I am asking is my GF just took over my old OG evo... she broke her blackberry..
I've not been in the evo scene for sometime now. ..we tried the 4.4.2 rom it was actually pretty smooth but data was spotty off/on... decided to take a step backward
thanks for a answer :good:

Need zip of this please...

Anyone have a .zip of this handy anymore? The one link I can find is clearly malware and bombards you with porn. Any help would be appreciated.

This ROM was my daily driver for months, then last week I decided to experiment with ap2sd and broke my ROM.

Instead of loading a backup, I flashed a JB ROM, and I have not looked back since.

Savoca did a great job with Strike!.

If you value stability and battery consumption, his Strike! ROM is second to none. It's also a great performer.

I'm currently happy with JB, and if I have any issues, I'll probably revert back to Strike!.

It's a pity Savoca won't be updating it to 4.2, and I wish he changes his mind eventually. Others, like MazWoz, have shown our Evos have no problems running it. If anything, we need 4.2 now more than ever because of the increased performance it brings to the hardware.

And on that glorious note. 4.2.2 Strike is in the works.

As it may be obvious I haven't touched the EVO in some time, I'm getting into developing apps right now and I haven't touched source in a bit. I haven't forgot about you, so don't forget about Strike, I haven't updated it to 4.2+ and I may not. I can't imagine holding the title of a fast ROM running on a phone that just simply cannot power up to what 4.2+ delivers.

Ah gonna have to try this one!!!! Good to see you back at it. Any a2sd here?

Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
Yes A2SD is built in.....just download the terminal app, type in su...hit allow and then a2sd check and it will give you a list of commands to choose from
