Question [Q] Fast ROM for my needs? (noob)

Hi! First of all, I speak french, so my English isn't perfect, I understand 99% of what you say, but you will probably only understand 50% of what I say...
My HTC One V is very slow and lags alot. I want a custom ROM that will makes it way faster! Which one?
There are many things that I don't use on my phone, so maybe there are some ROMs with ripped features? For exemple, I don't have a sim card, so I don't need to be able to talk, I only use my phone to go on the internet, use messenger and listen to music.

Once I find the ROM I want, I need to install it... but how?
Can someone give me a link or explain me step by step how to do that? I'm a nood with phone/android, but I'm very good with computers, so I will probably understand easily.

Thanks!

Interesting.. If you read a little in android and maybe extract a rom once in a while, you could come pretty far in removing the features you don't need. So you make your own slimmed down ROM.

I am currently running Ignorance: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2400633
But I think of switching to Shpongle: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2230656

Cheers

You could try shpongle, it is a fast ROM. Also you could use apps like greenify, lagfix & Seeder to keep your phone at peak performance. Personally I think it is a good practice to flash a ROM every 4-5 months to maintain optimal performance. You could use ease backup for backing up data before flashing.

Default ROM for daily use

I would suggest Ignorance ROM for daily use (as per your usage).

Also read and read more about rooting and flashing custom recovery and custom ROM before you jump into rooting.
That will help you not to panic
