Hi All
New to all this but have some experience of building/fixing computers..
I have followed the instructions on http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1592355 on unlocking my bootloader but after everything my boot screen still shows that it is 'locked'.

Also, I cannot see my phone when connected to the computer. It shows in the Device Manager but I cannot see any folders. Have I gone wrong somewhere?

Additionally, the link in the second part 'Installing A Recovery' for the fastboot files is dead. I'm intending to install the Android Revolution HD 33.1 ROM.

Of the following from here http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html I have downloaded 2 & 3 what else do I need?

HTC One X
1. Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2)
2. Download Android Revolution HD 33.1
3. Download boot.img 0.1 for Android Revolution HD 33.x
4. Stock Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2)
5. Download stock odexed 4.18.401.3
6. Download stock de-odexed 4.18.401.3
7. Download stock recovery 4.18.401.3
8. Download stock boot 4.18.401.3

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I have followed the link. is it the twrp-recovery2.img file I need? If so I have followed the instructions and from dos 'fastboot flash recovery twrp-recovery2.img but get a message saying that 'fastboot is not recognised as an internal or external command.

My bootscreen says:

***LOCKED***

RADIO-5.1204.167.31

And you need to unlock your device by going to HTC Dev site . from there the instructions are easy to follow
