It supports all variants, 802D inclusive of course. Now it depends if you have Android 4.4.3 based ROM or not.

On the "Downloads" section you can also find stock kernel for 802W, but for certain ROM versions. The best would be to make a nandroid backup of system partition and restore when the OTA comes in. It is not because of boot.img (because boot partition is overwritten when firmware.zip is flashed), but for the kernel modules that are stored as system files.
