The wifi password problem is probably caused by google automatic restore. You should uncheck that option under "backup and restore" in settings.

Ambient display lights the screen up in a low power state, when you have notifications.
It is not part of Sense, it's part of Aosp and can be disabled.
Don't see the point, then just don't use it, it's that simple.

Hi,
thank you, but I had it disabled a while ago, I don't use google sync features.

I think I must root and change to a rom or throw it away...

Is the full Sense surface integrated, if I choose Sense 8?

Is there a way to change the settings for dark mode and similar after the initial install?
Would I be able to dirty flash the ROM again to be able to change the settings?

Is there any stability or bugs difference between flashing this stock GPE ROM and converting phone to GPE with S-OFF by sunshine and getting OTA updates etc?
What I mean is, is this stock ROM same thing as official GPE RUU?

Stock Rom is exactly like stock GPE from HTC, with root added.
No other difference.

One more question, do I need to flash 5.1 firmware before flashing 5.1 GPE?
Atm I'm on 5.0.2 stock Sense with unlocked bootloader. I did this same procedure when flashing roms on HOX, but i don't remember flashing different firmwares.

Is this correct order of doing things next:
1. Rooting
2. Putting twrp
3. Flashing boot.img from gpe zip??
4. Flashing gpe rom

5.0.2 Sense firmware is all you need.
So just wipe and flash the Rom.
To be current on GPE firmware, you'd have to flash multiple past revisions to have all parts.
Sense lollipop firmware is all that's needed.

anyone got issued from flashlight / torch ? flashlight / torch only ON arround 30 seconds, and will be OFF automatically. Tried with application torch on playstore and toggle status bar. TFA

That's how GPE has always been on m7.
Battery saver in case it's left on and forgotten, I assume.

Hello santod040, I recently installed the latest version of Google Plus Edition Rom and found it to be amazing. Just one issue.
Somehow, the swipe2wake on capacitive buttons is enabled by default even though i disabled all the wake gestures while installing the kernel. I guess the gesture is keeping my device awake and reducing the standby battery life. Is there any way i can disable this?
Thanks for this amazing ROM btw :D

The phone lost 23% battery in 1 day of standby, Android OS being 9% of that. I used InsertCoin in the last year, so I cant really compare that. Is that supposed to happen for a 3yr old device on 5.1?
I gotta look into it with BetterBatteryStats right now.

    Install procedure:​

    1. Download the ROM and transfer to internal memory
    2. Reboot into Recovery Mode
    3. Make a backup of your current ROM
    4. Make a Full Wipe (System / Data / Cache / Dalvik)
    5. Flash the boot.img (from /boot folder in Plus+ Edition) via fastboot (Only if you are S-ON)
    6. Select Install, browse to the location of the downloaded ROM
    7. Select the zip of the ROM, Flash the Rom

    I've been working on a a Google Plus+ Edition update, on and off for a couple months now.
    Much time spent on it and many changes made....
    I believe it's about ready for prime-time. (Release within a day or so, maybe less)
    Are folks still interested?
    Replies aren't really necessary, a simple like on this post is sufficient.
