yes, no problem, i am in twrp 2.6.3.3

---------- Post added at 10:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ----------

ok. I will install this ROM.

Then, I will get everything back to S-ON, TAMPERED removed and finally LOCKED using REVONE and then flash a RUU stock.

Does that seem about right :

Yes, sorry,

1. S-OFF,
2. Remove TAMPERED
3. LOCKED
4. S-ON

Install RUU.

Is this the right sequence.

I want to return to stock so I can return to HTC for a new device due to the purple haze camera issue.

The link you gave is giving grief.. It's the fourth time I am trying to download. It gets stuck around 30-40%. Do you have an alternative link ?

not right now, i'll upload it to AFH later and post link (but it'll take 4 hours or so to upload with my connection)

1. S-OFF,
2. Remove TAMPERED
3. LOCKED
4. Install RUU
5. S-ON

I will give the sequence you stated a try.

I did a quick google search and about six of the links I found were all broken. I didn't see the ones you posted. Thank you.

Hi nkk71,

You have helped me tremendously and I really appreciated your timely responses.

I managed to download the 9.4 Rev Rom for the HTC One M7, from one of the links you sent me.

This HTC One ROM definitely works with Revone. ***this is important to note, as others caused me a lot of grief and hours of frustration.

I was able to finally accomplished everything with the sequence of steps that you suggested. So kudos to you for your help and guidance.

Here are some of the steps and links that also helped me along the way.

As I had locked my device at one point, I had to unlock it again in order to get S-OFF again, in order to remove "TAMPERED" etc..
I also had to change my CID from SUPERCID- 11111111 to HTC__001. I also had to change my H-Boot to 1.44. One can find links on the web to do this easily.

1. I used HTCdev to unlock my device using their guidelines and the unlock_code.bin that they provide once you submit your code for unlocking.

2. I download Revolution ROM 9.4 and copied it to my device and then used twrp 2.6.3.3 to install the ROM.

3. I then was able to go S-OFF using REVONE software. It worked brilliantly with the right ROM and H-Boot.

4a. I then removed TAMPERED and changed my device's bootloader to "LOCKED using these commands that other contributors have given.

4b. To Remove TAMPERED,
enter the following:
adb devices

adb shell

su (if needed to get a # prompt)

echo -ne '\x00' | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7 bs=1 seek=4265988
(i would very strongly recomend you copy/paste this)

exit
(exit a second time if you need to to get back to a normal > prompt)

adb reboot bootloader

verify tamered is gone

4c.RESET TO "LOCKED"

to LOCK your bootloader, enter the following:

adb devices

adb shell

su (if needed to get a # prompt)

echo -ne '\x00\x00\x00\x00' | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=1 seek=33796
(i would very strongly recomend you copy/paste this)

exit
(exit a second time if you need to to get back to a normal > prompt)

adb reboot bootloader

verify you are now locked

5. Then I loaded a RUU OF my CHOICE

6. Then I SET - ( S-ON )

http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/return-stock-guide/

using this command:

fastboot oem writesecureflag 3

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

Again a Special thanks to nkk71 for all his help. :)

Hello,

I am also facing the error code -1 and I have found this thread but I'm still confused on what to do to S-OFF my HTC One.
First of all, I've read these threads:

[S-OFF] revone Thanks Team Revolutionary:
it doesn't work because of error code -1, due to the ROM version and the HBoot version.

[S-OFF] Moonshine S-OFF Thanks Fuses, beaups, and hyuh:
not working.

[s-off] rumrunner s-off Thanks beaups and fuses:
not working.

Firewater Thanks beaups and fuses:
the Kernel I am running has got a patch against it.

Moonshine and rumrunner don't work because of a similar issue:
Code:
[************************************************************]
Rebooting into bootloader (again)
Waiting for fastboot (7/120)
Waiting for ADB (17/120)
must ferment longer...

chilling..................
it's a little stinky here, hmm....

bottles are packed, here we go, shhhhhh....

hmm, cap is on tighter than I expected........
hell, that damn cap is on REALLY tight.......
unfortunately this isn't going to work out with your configuration. you have 2 options:
1.) flash an unsecure kernel that's compatible with your ROM and retry rumrunner (preferred and most reliable method).
2.) flash a different rom.
NOTE: No amount of messing around with su binaries and apk's is going to fix this issue for you!!!.
Better luck next time!!!!bye

Now, prior flashing another ROM, I would really like to be sure it is mandatory (no alternatives) for the S-OFF procedure.
I've seen here, this solution didn't work.

Just to be clear, I'm already unlocked and rooted with the latest stock ROM.

Is there some other solution?

Hi, thanks for replying.

Sunshine is too expensive. I don't ask it for free, but honestly I don't want to pay for it. :D

If I'm not wrong the firmware version is the build number and that is: 6.10.901.5 which is not listed in the download page for Moonshine. So this one cannot be used.

Well: the last hope is firewater, but this is what happens:
ERROR: kernel contains HTC anti-firewater patch!
****** Try again with a different kernel ******

I guess there's no way. Isn't it?

Yes, I've read about that. I wouldn't like to go off topic here, but what, in case I would like to come back to the stock kernel I have now? And is the ElementalX kernel available for M7_UL? As far as I understand the answer is no. But I could be wrong.

OK, I can do the nandroid backup to restore the original kernel just in case it doesn't work (I trust it will :D )

I didn't read UL is not supported, I was just wondering it wasn't, because I didn't find the version for UL.

I'm trying to get s-off but revone is keep failing with error code 1.
My One is a developer edition and hboot 1.44

    Any idea? Thanks!

Had the same problem. You are probably on Android 4.3. and revone works on 4.2.2.
    Here's what I did:
-Download any 4.2.2 rom (doesn't matter which one, just needs to be 4.2.2) You can download this: http://llabtoofer.com/2013/08/20/486/
-Make a nanadroid backup.(IMPORTANT if you don't want to lose anything)
-Wipe everything/ factory reset and flash the 4.2.2 rom
-Follow the steps for s-off with revone
-After you get s-off, go to recovery and restore from the nandroid backup

Now you will have s-off and all your data.
