There, now we got the legal out of the way, let's begin. because I'm a new user, I can't post links. Therefore, each link has a space just before the . part in each link. EG: www .google .com. Just copy/paste and remove the spaces. Sorry for inconveniences, wish I could avoid them.
A few prerequisites:
a) Make sure your tablet is fully charged
b) You will need internet connection for the first part (obviously)
c) A USB cable
d) All drivers for your device installed on your computer.
Find out how to do that at www .droidbeans .com/how-to-install-usb-driver-for-any-android-device/
Oh, this will work only with a windows PC, as I have not yet found the MAC OSX version of the tool. I will update when I find it.
The process is as follows
1) Enable USB debugging in your developer settings. If developer options is not available, follow this link:
www .androidpolice .com/2012/11/13/reminder-tip-developer-options-are-hidden-in-android-4-2-heres-how-to-find-them
2)Download the tool from here:
Now we begin the real 'work'
3) Open the tool (it'll be in .exe form)
It will run an update to version 1.7.2, restart itself, then update databases, at which point it will restart again
4) Connect your device via usb to your computer
If you've followed all the steps correctly till now, it should detect your device and show you that it has done so.
5) Hit the root button
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS
6) The tab should now reboot.
7) At this point you can go into play store and install superuser or super su
Find out the differences between those two here: getandroidstuff .com/superuser-vs-supersu-android-root-management-at-its-best/
I have found that you won't really need either of the two as Vroot installs its own root manager app, Kinguser
That's it, your rooted!
You may download Root Checker just to make sure you're rooted
Please remember to hit the thanks button if this helped you.
