Default How to update TWRP if you're stuck in TWRP

Hey,

I've tried to update my Kindle Fire HD 8.9 to the newest CM11 version, but I wasn't careful enough to update my TWRP 2.4.4.0 beforehand to the newest version, resulting in a Kindle that is stuck in recovery (TWRP).
I managed to load with ADB the newest TWRP version (2.7) on the device, but I can't seem to be able to install the file from TWRP (it only recognizes the CM11 and Google apps files in the folder, but not the kfhd8-twrp-2.7.0.0-recovery.img file I loaded).

Any chance anyone knows to make this happen so I can get back to using the Kindle?
(unfortunately, I failed to do a backup and I don't want to wipe everything since I have a quite a few files that I won't be able to restore)

Thanks!

you need a flashable.zip twrp version to install in TWRP, recovery.img file are flashed in Fastboot mode

Hey Shadow,

Thanks a lot, that really helps!

I'll try to flash in Fastboot mode, but just in case, do you know where one can find a flashable zip twrp?

Thank you very much, couldn't have done it without your help!!!
