Yes, you can still use the 4.2 base with this kernel to test if changing the firmware base fixes the sdcard problem. Unfortunately, there may be issues with the brightness settings when you use the 4.2 firmware base with this kernel. Although, it's still testable.

I think I made a mistake by saying there is a problem with this rom and the 4.4 base. I just realized that my new 64 GB sdcard is formatted as exfat. I can't believe I never noticed that. I have a strong feeling that that is the reason for all the strange behaviour and unmounts. Sorry, @Rick Roll. I should have known that.

The 4.4 base solved all issues I experienced with #12 kernel & cm12. All seems solid now.

I think the problem was that I had to format the card using cwm. When I tried formatting with twrp, it still had issues.

Oh well. I flashed 13 as well. Same with the black screen. Shame. I wanted to try the latest build. I'm sure there will be a working version soon.

Ha, if you boot up on AOSP with 13 a few times you get this fun stuff going on.

So there will be separate future versions for CM12 and AOSP or unified one?

I would assume one kernel since they are both based on AOSP. The OP clearly says this kernel (including the latest version) should work with most AOSP ROMs.

Kernel is not supported by the Faux Clock App with r13 version anymore. r12 was ok, could you check it ?
