do you need to disable and re-enable once screen has turned off ?

Disable SELinux (permissive) - that should do it

it's a permissions problem - likely on the ROM's side

Hmmm, I'm back to RedKernel, because my internal sd-card is full, I have to use "Link2SD", but it's simply not possible to use it with the CM12.1 kernel, due to the sdcard unmount issue.
I've re-installed R15 and the SE linux permissive, no more SD-Card unmount, no black screen and no more WLAN issue. Have now reach 4GB free space on the internal sdcard. I will make a try with the latest RedKernel version.

Any of those new r022 kernels work with Resurrection ROM ?

I flashed the CM one and wifi wouldn't come up during fresh installation of the ROM - thanks !

Hi,

I'm trying to use Red Kernel r022 to get rid of the SD card unmount issue, but WiFi never turns on with this kernel.
My tablet is a LG G Pad 8.3 v500 (not GPE), running CM 12.1-20150622-UNOFFICIAL-awifi with its original kernel (3.4.0). It works very well in this configuration except for the SD card issue.
I've installed Red Kernel r022 from your link (the "CM nightlies" version). WiFi wasn't turning on, so I installed "v500-universal-selinux-disabler-bumped-signed.zip" to disable SELinux. SELinux mode was set to "permissive" after that, but I was still unable to enable WiFi. dmesg had this to say:

<6>[ 39.827117 / 07-28 20:19:14.322] wlan: loading driver v3.2.2.17
<6>[ 39.837219 / 07-28 20:19:14.332] DefaultCountry is US
<3>[ 39.908752 / 07-28 20:19:14.402] wlan: driver load failure

I'm out of ideas, so help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bogdan

An update to my previous post: after installing http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...-12-1-t3130490 (version 20150726) and the @fefifofum kernel build in http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=374, everything seems to work fine so far, including WiFi.

Using mako hotplug core 2 turns off and won't start up again after screen off.
