Have you tried it with a powered USB hub? Seems like that would address the power issue.

Hi,

Got my cable today (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Works a treat. The cable doesn't charge the tablet unfortunately whilst its reading from the drive, but at least i can see my hdd now.

I also tested it using an anker Astro3 and it works fine.
